Step into the boots of an elite soldier in Shattered Ground, a high-octane military first-person shooter where every decision counts. The game begins with an intense training exercise at a military base placed inside a destroyed city. There you’ll familiarize yourself with weapons and tactics under the guidance of your commanding officers. Hone your skills so that you can be ready for the challenges that lie ahead.
This is a vertical slice of a larger game project. The vertical slice was produced in 5 weeks from start to finish.

Changelog for Update 1.1:
Gameplay
-Disabled manual pickup for ammo and health, streamlining the looting process
-Disabled sprinting while falling
-Disabled aiming without any weapon equipped
-Adjusted enemy damage for better game balance and challenge
-Removed fake shot timer
User Interface (UI)
-Replaced the static image in the main menu with an actual level for a more immersive experience
-Hit marker now turns red when killing an enemy, providing clear feedback on kills
-Added warning prompts like "Reload" and "Low Ammo" beneath the crosshair to aid player awareness
-Remade the pickup prompt widget
-Remade the objectives widgets
-Added shadows to text elements for enhanced visibility in various environments
-Hit direction indicator now disappears after the enemy is killed, instead of lingering for 5 seconds
-Remade the ammo and health widgets for a cleaner look
-Added pickup notifications to inform players about collected items
Quality of Life (QOL)
-Added a very simplified options menu with four graphical presets for easier customization.
-Added a "Load Checkpoint" option in the pause menu.
-Implemented small optimization improvements for potentially smoother performance
